The Multiplayer Gaming Atmosphere Of ThisGen

There's only one thing (and also three things) I want to say about it: I don't like it, it sucks. These are the three reasons I am looking forward to the great games of 2o1o and beyond because of their SINGLEPLAYER experience and not the multiplayer one. [...]

Making Of Metal Gear Solid

Hi, real quick, let me psot a YouTube video containing a documentary about Metal Gear Solid 4 that can be found on the (a?) BluRay. It is called "Mgs4 Documentary *Blu ray rip* Making Of" (1o parts). Despite the excellent BluRay source quality the subtitles at some points are unreadable. I don't apologize for that - it's not my video. Embed is disabled so just go there.

Build worlds, destroy worlds, then create a montage

Another video session, but a rather short one this time, because the third one that I found just now is a must-show-immediately. I think. Simply amazing.

I just got hold of this lovely marriage proposal. I've seen marriage proposals woven into gaming experiences before - but nothing as beautiful as this one. Nerd proposals are so gorgeous. [...]

Censored Fitness Sporn Travelling Cosplay Star Wars Comedy

It's been a bit but here is the newest batch of funny videos I wanted to share. I started accumulating early on so there's a slight chance that you'll already know the videos. For months.

Oh my this will open 7 YouTube clips at once. I should program something about it ... [...]

Legacy Of Kain: Information Retrieval

I always knew that the story told in the two Soul Reaver games had a deeper meaning than I had grasped because those two were the only games of the five-part saga that I have played, but for various reasons, one for example being that one of the other three games was based much more on combat than puzzling, I didn't feel the urge to play those. Because I hate this degree of combat/puzzle distribution in general. But with the help of Google, Wikipedia and YouTube I could feast on the story that is beknownst to the gaming world as the "Legacy Of Kain" saga. [...]

o8/o9 News from the wooden lands

Despite the title I don't have very much (and new) to tell you, I'm just here to say that I'm still here. Somehow I made it through 2oo8. I don't know how though - I just sat here ;^p  Didn't move a muscle. [...]

Metal Gear Arschgeil

Hideo, you are an insane ... HERO. 最高。 I seldomly enjoyed playing videogames as much as this one. Although it had a rough start, since the ending of Act 2 this game kicked ass and rocked my world! Thank You!!

Update: I just found this incredible SpeedRun where someone (too bad I can't give the credit to the unknown crazy guy) beat the game and unlocked the Big Boss Emblem (ranking) in 2:34 - translated that means he beat the game in the most difficult difficulty called "The Boss Extreme", without using any rations or similar health regenerating items, without any continues, without killing any enemy, and without being detected once, in two hours and thirty-four minutes!

Yet strangely enough, as I write this update the first YouTube video clips seem to be down already, just minutes after I finished watching the whole thing in a swoop. Anyway, here's the link if it's not working on my blog.

Of course, beware of Spoilers! ;^) [...]

Penny Arcade TV

For a little while now the guys at Penny Arcade, Jerry & Mike - or as they are more known as: Tycho & Gabe - have enabled a streaming feature to watch over Jerry's shoulder while drawing the latest comic strip. Here (or here on my site) is a recorded version of that streaming session. The stream is junctioned with a live chat which explains the randomly placed comments by Jerry. So if you're interested in the process of (web) comics and if you have about two spare hrs. to spent go ahead and watch it. But for sake of preventing neuronal massacres from happening: turn off the terrible music! Or replace it with your music. I chose The Black Mages - [Darkness And Starlight] - and I chose wisely if you ask me ;^)

This pretty much completes the creation process if you append it to the Podcast. [...]

ArtLebedev in April

It has been a while since I've checked what marvellous new inventions were in the making, down in the shimmering halls of Artemis Lebedev and I must say I'm pleased to see that he and his companions weren't as lazy as I was during my relocation.

Also there are some news about the Optimus Maximus. But one step at a time. [...]

Athene - The World's Most Bitchy Asshole Gamer

I don't know if it's true what this player of "World Of Warcraft", Athene, claims, namely that he beat the world record of power-lvling twice - and I don't care really - but look at him. That's not how a pro normally behaves *lol*

And there's a lot of allegedly sexually themed vids on his website since I last checked it. Meh.

Do you remember the Quadruped Robot that I mentioned a few weeks earlier (#1o)? While I was offline (hey, I'm back, btw) there has been an April's Fool joke about that robot being faked and all. Luckily I was off. Don't wanna know how many April's Fool jokes I would have fallen for.

Chad Vader: Day Shift Manager

If you want to spend an hour or so with some videos from the iNet, nothing special really, here's something I can recommend: the adventures of Chad Vader, the day shift manager. Imagine Vader, the all famous Sith Lord from the Star Wars universe, working for the Empire ... Store, a 24 hrs. convenience store. Add a little bit of comedy and have a go at it. Eight episodes on the whole of season one, a DVD and alleged comedy series might be following. Watch 'em all at YouTube or start with the first episode here: [...]

Cartoon Openings

Oh boy, I can't believe I didn't psot these yet. They are so old by now. I mean, not because they're from the eighties and nineties but because I watched them about a month ago, or so. The thing I'm talking about is: oldschool cartoon openings. Nostalgia at its best.

Plus two bonus clips, one at the beginning and one at the end. Enjoy! [...]

Felix Rick interviews Ron Gilbert

If you don't know who I'm talking about: Ron Gilbert is the guy who invented the "Script Utility For Maniac Mansion" (aka SCUMM) which made click'n'point-adventures a lot of fun and who was one of the great fathers of The Secret Of Monkey Island as well as most sequels of that VG series, Maniac Mansion, obviously, as well as some other great stuff of that branch. So, as you can see, pretty much he embodies the click'n'point-genre of PC gaming. Oh, and Felix Rick is a moderator of GIGA who was one of the "Teufelskerle" from GIGA Games. He does a little show of its own now, I think, mostly retro themed or so. Well, GIGA ain't no more what it used to be.

Anyway, this is neither about Felix nor GIGA but Ron and that short nice interview. Nothing spectacular, just a warming little chit-chat with one of the great VG fathers of all time, IMHO ... [...]
