The WiiKey Experience

Well now, my little children. I want to tell you - at this late hour - a tale of confusion and miracles, a tale of how my desire to play Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots uncensored and in an unaltered way, the one and only way videogame designer and snake-father Hideo Kojima has intended it to be, made it happen and made me modify my Wii™. Not by myself, of course, but instead by talented professionals. And OF COURSE by "Wii™" I'm not referring to my genitals but to my videogame console. But first things first. [...]

Sequelling: A tale about turtles and burning birds

A little while ago I finished Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney: Justice For All which is the second game in the Phoenix-franchise, following a wonderful visual novel, and more recently I finished Runaway 2 which I blindly bought because I liked the first part. The first game wasn't awesome, it was merely good. But it's a click'n'point adventure so I liked to save this sagging old genre from extinction. Now ... was it worth it? [...]

"OBJECTION!"

Finally I've managed to lay my hands on a little gem for the Nintendo DS™ that I always saw there in the corner of my eyes, waiting for me to grasp it, to raise it high above my head, praise it - worship it!! - only to plunge it deep into the depths of my handheld and *god-damn* play it!: Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney. Although it was released in the end of March 2oo6 in the target lingo most attractive to me (in this case that would be german) it took me quite some time to actually play it myself. I've heard a lot about it through GameTrailers (blasphemy! There's no archive function for really old titles in GT!! I never knew that.) and other pop culture references. So at last the journey began .. and it was good ... [...]

PS3™ Impressions

So, much happened since I was able to put my hands on this powerful machine for the first time, the one that is named Playstation 3™: I've started and finished Assassin's Creed, mastered the multiplayer-mode of Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, chilled a lot with skate. and crashed a lot more with Burnout: Paradise - not to mention the nice demos. But was this all worth 4oo€ or even the launch price of 6oo€? Let's hear what I think. [...]

Super Mario Galaxy & Super Luigi Galaxy

Yes, I've played it. Got me some 241 stars and it took me some estimated 2o / 25 hrs. Was good fun. But not as innovative and ground-breaking as Super Mario 64, so I needed some time to realize, when Reggie Fils-Aime, head of Nintendo of America, called it "the true successor to Mario 64" on this year's E3 Media & Business Summit, he just meant that Nintendo absolutely agrees that Super Mario Sunshine, the de-facto-successor, was a crappy game ;^p [...]

Metroid 3: Completion

I did it, I finally did it! I beat a Metroid game with 1oo % and I did not use any walkthrough or game guide, and with that I unlocked the not all too spectacular but still unlock-worthy full ending that reveals ... well, not too much. It took me 2o hrs. 12 min. on the "Veteran" difficulty to beat Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - I'm so proud of myself. No guide!! [...]
